I went here 29 years ago, they annonced Margaret Thatchers resigning over the school tannoy system.

I loved BTG.

My best memory was been marched down to the odeon at Christmas and we all got to watch Home Alone xxxx great memories:-)

This is a traditionalist school, where the education is quite high level but was the main cause of my low self esteem, bad mental health and the bullying that goes on there is insane. For a Catholic school, the morals are embarassingly bad.
It gave me the education I needed to go on and get the job I wanted, be very successful at it, travel the world working and get paid well along the way. I am now in my fifties and still see young lads coming out of the school into my industry with the same attitude.
I remember playing /training football in BTG wayyyyy back in 1979/80 ..We were a smashing team called St.Barts. . Vaguely remember some players ..Michael Lea. .David Mann. I was the goalkeeper. I emigrated to Ireland with my parents in 1981..and only have memories. .no contact with players or staff. Mick manning (I think was his name ?) Was over us ? We lost a league final to a team called Redriff. . I never got over that defeat! ! Would love to find out about the team etc ..
