Overall Rating : 2.9 out of 5.0 stars
Despite the somewhat high rating, Blacktown Girls High School has declined from a semi-decent school with adequate facilities to a discriminatory and near hostile environment. This not only inhibits students’ ability to study autonomously, enjoy their schooling years, and generally gain a sense of belonging, but also prevents opportunities for them to develop independence and gain responsibility.

Students’ schooling experience is based entirely on the staff’s opinions of them, leaving many at a disadvantage or purely disfavoured, as they are limited access to facilities and are constantly harassed to the point of harm to mental health. In spite of presenting itself as an environment that encourages the expression of individuality, our identity has been constantly diminished under pure ignorance.

Several times throughout my and others’ education, we have been lied to and had information withheld due to being part of a minority group, had mental health concerns disrespected, and boundaries outright ignored.

Despite this, I’d like to take the time to state that this does not apply to all teachers. There is a decent group of teachers within this school that put all their effort into the upkeep of student well-being and improvement, and prioritizing enjoyment within academic areas. Nonetheless, this cannot outweigh the negatives presented here.

Overall, whilst Blacktown Girls High is somewhat capable of providing students with a decent education, the most influential of teachers and staff are unfit to work with children, severely inhibiting the school’s ability to do so. At BGHS, you can receive a good education within the classroom, however, this does not mean you will be treated justly outside of it. The school’s motto is “A Blacktown Girl can do anything”, yet this is not reflected in the restrictive and ignorant nature of the school.

Blacktown Girls High School, despite the high ratings, does not live up to the standards of a decent school.
Multiple students have had their education experience determined by how their teachers view them. This places them at a disadvantage and can sometimes lead to them being unable to ask for help, based off pure fear or afraid of judgement. This school does not have a staff full of qualified teachers, ready to teach your children. Unqualified teachers are teaching the wrong subjects, leading students to failure and stress. Teachers do not help students feel safe, instead they turn a blind eye to a situation.
This school’s main priority is their reputation and uniform. Your education can be threatened because of your uniform, it is the most important thing to them, or they treat it as if it is. The prices for school uniform are also highly expensive, you can find a much affordable substitute at any other store.
Class time is also often wasted by assemblies which require pointless information, and sometimes can disturb a student’s schedule, irritating not only the student, but for some subjects, the teacher as well.

The school lacks the appropriate facilities and equipment for the students. The bathrooms are kept in an disgusting condition, and certain things like pipe leaks are not taken care of correctly. The school is covered in inappropriate graffiti, including in classrooms and bathrooms. Students aren’t able to work properly on class tasks sometimes as there is either a lack of laptops, or some are facing technical issues.
Students do not have any respect or display any form of human decency. The students at Blacktown Girls High School are entitled and rude. Pushing in public transport, disregarding the public and overall display poor behaviour.
At Blacktown Girls Highschool, you are not guaranteed what the school claims to offer. The school does not follow their own core values, or school motto.

As I am a person that is not of the female gender, I do not have the personal experience of attending such a marvelous and prestine school, but let’s imagine that I was indeed a female, How would my day to day life be like receiving education from this school? As of me reading this school’s reviews I would be confident in saying that I’d have a pleasant time attending, I’m sure all of the students and teachers are sensible and all the rooms and especially the restrooms are sanitary. I conclude this thought out review by saying this school and the education it provides are remarkable and the students and teachers are very welcoming.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

compared to my primary school, BGHS was a lot better and i managed to find large group of friends. i never felt more respected and well-liked in my life. most of my family-friends and my other friends in fully selective schools criticise BGHS by saying that this is a “partially-selective high school” and it really irritates me. i hate when people are always sticking to the stereotype that only “fully selective” high schools are only the best schools available. it is not about the school that will improve your grades, it is based on you and your own efforts. this school has taught me that achieving good results has nothing to do with the school ranking and i know plenty of smart girls in this school who have received all-rounders and atars over 90. this school has provided me with so many opportunities such as taking higher level maths and accelerated subjects and helped me improve my academic performance over the years.
unfortunately, this school is so underated and it deserves more recognition.

i have a phobia of females please and this school kids are always in my train please end my suffering
