So. First semester completed. I thought this would be a great school since it is close by boy was u wrong. So when first trying to get started with classes the process was great to get started now when my work pays for my tuition it took them longer than it should have been with no one there for me to talk to and no call. During the courses that I was doing by the way I work 40+ hours a week full time work. The classes where to much for anyone for much information not enough time to do the work in a week. Then when you do try to get ahold of your professors it takes them 48 hours if not longer. But if you work like my shift Sunday- Wednesday then try to do your work on your days off it takes the whole 3 days to do it. So no down time for yourself. The course are not laid out the same way for for every class. Very bad way to run a community college. I will be transferring to a new college one that is more prepared than this work for working people.

Unsatisfied soon to be ex-student

Im a older person that thought I was too old to go back to school, but the experience at Blue Ridge has really been a good challenge for me. I got my self confidence & self esteem built up & also I have been able to get out of shyness to a certain degree by having the classes I have & am taking. My advisor is great & so have been my professors. I graduate this fall & happy to be a part of Blue Ridge. There is other departments that is very understanding with me for problems & questions. It takes effort on ones’ part to learn & attendance is very important. Setting goals is up to oneself & working through them.
I have reached out online & even called left voicemails (more then once) to receive information on RN program. They never call back, no emails, nothing! Not a good look. Closest community college to me however this definitely changed my mind about attending this college!
