Over the years my mom and I have personally had a good experience when doing our hair in this facility. However, this time around it was not so great. My mom just got back from doing her in this facility and she is not happy with the outcome. My mom asked for cornrows braided up into a ponytail, however, she got something different. Once my mom realized what the lady was doing was not what she asked for, she told her but it seemed as though the lady was almost done. This lady insisted that my mom should wait to see the finished look, if she doesn’t like it then she could take it out. What I do not understand is, if the hair was technically not done yet and all that way applied to the hair was gel at the moment at other products why couldn’t she just wash them off and do what she was being paid to do. Plus why get frustrated, you are the one who made the mistake. I understand the fact that we are all humans and we make mistakes but that doesn’t mean one should get frustrated and begin to impose their beliefs onto others. This person was being paid to braid my mom’s hair the way she wanted. My mom literally left this place unhappy with the hair she got. I asked her why she left or let the lady continue to do whatever it was she was doing on her hair. My mom replied saying she felt bad and she seemed frustrated, plus she had already sat down there for hours and didn’t feel like staying there any longer to get the hair fixed. My mom and I are truly disappointed with today’s services. This never happened to us in the past. Imagine seating in a chair for a long period of time to get your hair done only for it to not be what you asked and paid for.
I graduated from the nail tech program here and this is my biggest regret for 3,600$ I learned how to glue on nail tips put on ODORLESS ACRYLIC and how to put on regular and gel nail polish THATS IT the products at this school are cheap arent the same used in salons so students are unprepared and caused me contact dermatitis which hasn’t happened to me since leaving the school and only ever that time in my entire life. I’ve been waiting on my license for 3 months and when I go back to the school all I get is told to leave. The nail course teacher sandy is never at the school she has another job at a full time salon and I would assume that’s where she is because the entire time I was there I probably saw her 20 times and she taught me maybe 3 times that’s it’s nothing about dip powder , nail art , nail wraps , acrylic blending or ombre no French tips nothing about applying gems nothing this school is a bad joke please go to summit it’s the only other cosmetology school in Gainesville, this school is awful.
