It’s incredible how just one person can negatively impact your child’s whole experience at Bonita High School. The band program is horrible thanks to the band director Jeff Bird. My stomach turns every time he comes into view. More and more parents will be writing these reviews exposing this man’s rudeness and arrogant nature. He actually tries to steal the spotlight from the kids, so he can be center of attention. My child wants to drop out of band, and I actually feel guilty about keeping my student in the program. It’s amazing how many parents feel the same way but they don’t want to address him. If your child loves music, they will hate Bonita High because of him. I’ll be leaving my review on other websites as well.
The school doesn’t care, so I went to the office in a desperate need for some help with a issue, the kids park on evergreen and dump all the stuff from there cars into our street, along with pot containers, beer bottles and cans, etc, and after being made to wait while the 2 ladies gossiped, the principal happened by and quickly advised me to call the police, and rudely walked away. And that was that.
I think Bonita was a great school when I was a student there from 1965-68 as Debby Ullery. The teachers seemed to care about their students. I specifically remember with fondness Nancy Quick and Madge LaNue, both Home Economics teachers. If anyone knows how I can reach Nancy Quick, I’d really appreciate the help.
