The communication has been the most frustrating things about this school. The newsletters do little to nothing but address the dress code. The tone of the newsletters are very off putting as well. I made the decision to take my child out of this school because of the miscommunication, behavior of the children in the school, and its extremely unorganized. She was in 7th grade and the kids were out of control, mean, and bullies! Many days she came home depressed and upset because she couldnt make any friends and how she was made fun of! She even said the children made a teacher cry! That is unacceptable! Because of the childrens behavior, Teachers are leaving left and right while the children are suffering education wise. My daughters experience was terrible. I would try and call the school to communicate simple things like an absence and no one would answer for HOURS if at all. I sent messages and emails that are still unanswered to this day! The last straw was the 2 lockdowns without communicating to the parents. There was no reason I should have found out the nature of a lockdown from my child when she came home! Think twice about sending your child to this school. Youll never have any communication from your childs teachers and/or the school unless its about the dress code! I see there are responses to complaints on the other reviews from this school, however, I suggest instead of trying to explain away the wrongs at this school, fix them. Everyone is saying the same thing! It has potential but the communication must change and the curriculum has to be stuck to whether a teacher leaves or not. My child had latin for 1 or 2 weeks and then the teacher quit. He wasnt the only one.
Terrible school. Two lockdowns happened in one week, emails werent set up until the second month of school, kids are walking all the way down to the field to do PE because they dont have the gymnasium anymore, and the kids are terrible behavior wise. Im not sure if its only middle school that acts this way, but theyre extremely rowdy and talk constantly during lessons. Teachers are being forced to teach on the stage and in the lobby where classes are going on nearby and you cant hear anything the teacher is saying. Teachers are leaving constantly because of how bad it is, but its fine as long as youre in dress code. Many say it was better last year. They claim to care so much about education but seventh graders making a teacher cry is a normal occurrence. Do not send your kids here.
