This school staff and teachers are amazing. The woman at the front desk Ms.Esteves is amazing and she always makes you feel like your important and you matter, treats the kids that go there and the ones that don’t the same with love and respect. Makes you feel like family. I have 2 kids in this school, my girls they have been in this school 1 for 2 years and 1 for 1 year now and we have had a very good experience. The office staff is very awesome and nice as well, from the principal, the Dean Ms Harrington, and the registration lady Ms Mendez to the teachers my girls have who have proven to be awesome and just wonderful. They take their time to make sure my girls are doing good and improving all the time. My girls teachers are very caring and respectful woman who gain your trust because they show you they are good persons. The staff members like security, kitchen, cleaning, maintenance, and all the staff in general. Communication is great to always being informed on what’s going on with students, staff and teachers. No one is perfect but this school comes close to it. If I had one thing I had to say was a complaint would probably just be the carline but even that they are working on every day to improve, honestly I think it’s us parents who back up the carline and not the teachers and staff. But overall this school is great in my opinion but to each there know. I will say one thing us parents have a big roll in the education and communication our children receive and we also have to choose with what attitude we will approach a misunderstanding or situation to get the best solution. But that’s in any school and place not just here. Anyway just putting my opinion.
This is for the Davenport one not Osceola and I do not usually write bad reviews but with the way this school handled a particular situation I believe it should be shared. My daughter was transferring out of the school due today to a move and also because of how unorganized the school was. The teachers are young and have no experience in my opinion and that is not to say they did not work hard and earn their degrees however all kids learn differently and with limited experience they do not attend to all kids. The transfer process was horrible Mrs. Clarke was the most unprofessional person I ever met she should really look for a new career. I had to wait over 30 days for transfer paperwork never got a follow up or any assistance from her in the process. Once she claimed to have sent the paperwork she couldnt wait to call me back to back at work to claim my daughter was no longer allowed at the school and come to find out even at that point she still had not sent over the paperwork. But she couldnt wait to follow up on that matter to kick my daughter out and that day my daughter came home crying saying the teachers didnt even pull her to the side or let her pack up maybe after the class was gone as shes in Afterschool instead she was told to get all her stuff and throw it in her bag. I would avoid this school at all cost but I will say Mr. Gally and Mrs. Reyes did make the school decent !
I wanted to wait until the end of the school year to leave a review. My child has gone to this school since they opened, and the improvements I feel were made this year were tremendous. I almost pulled my child after the first year but decided to give it one more chance, and I am so glad that I did. One of the people that was most helpful to me, professional, and extremely quick to respond was Mrs. Tardiff. She also reached out to me directly to invite my daughter to the enrichment club on Saturdays. My child absolutely loved going to the school on Saturday to work with Mrs. F. and read Holes. My child’s teachers were wonderful this year as well. Mrs. Mejia, and Mrs. Johnson were amazing with communication, and how helpful they were to my daughter. Nobody planned on the school being closed, and students learning from home. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t have wanted to go through that process with any other school. The teachers worked so hard to make this as easy as possible on the students, I couldn’t ask for more. I had a couple concerns, but Mrs. Tardiff was right there to help resolve the issues. Overall I am extremely pleased with this school this year. Thank you for caring about my daughter so much!
