We were interested in sending our toddler daughter here for school. We spoke to someone from the school on the phone over the summer and had a thorough and enjoyable conversation. She told us that we should submit an application, send the $70 fee, and we would be put on the waitlist for the fall. We filled out an elaborate and lengthy form. We submitted our $70 fee. And when we emailed to ask if we could do a Zoom tour of the school (as in-person tours were not happening due to the pandemic), we received a rather cold and curt response of, “We are focusing all of our tour efforts on the 21-22 school year at this time.” The 21-22 school year was what we had submitted our application for, but apparently if you’re on the waitlist you cannot even see the school via Zoom. It very much felt like they were just interested in taking our money in the end, which is unfortunate. Fortunately, we were able to enroll our daughter in another Montessori school that has a wonderful program and a great sense of community. Because of this experience with Bridges and the lack of transparency, I would not recommend the school.
I can’t thank Bridges Montessori enough for treating my family with respect, kindness, and understanding after our son’s ADHD made his transition to the school extremely difficult for all of us. From the very beginning, the entire Bridges Montessori family was open, communicative, and lovingly transparent in their concerns regarding the challenges we were facing. We worked closely with the entire staff, formulating a plan that, while not the easiest or most convenient for any of us, made my son’s well-being and growth a priority while continuing to maintain a safe and educationally-sound environment for the other children and educators. The road has been challenging but Bridges Montessori has been with us every step of the way, offering support during difficult times and cheering with us as we recognize our son’s accomplishments and growth. My family has found the entire Bridges Montessori organization to be an unyielding advocate for inclusion, empathy, and parent/school cooperative problem solving. We can’t say enough about our love and support of Bridges Montessori.
Words can’t explain my experience at this wonderful school. I came in as an intern, after finishing my Montessori teacher training and in no time it felt like I was a part of this close knit family. Everyone at the school is very warm , loving and welcoming. I also was a parent for 2 years and my daughter loved it so much that she still talks about her time at bridges. She is a fifth grader now. If you are looking for a true Montessori experience for your child, Bridges Montessorie is the place for you. I love how they support a child to become independent. These are a great group of people who are putting their heart and soul in setting a great foundation in a child’s life. Best preschool ever.
