i would NEVER send my child here. I still to this day have yet to receive a call back regarding MORE INFORMATION on the school. On Tuesday, August 24 I submitted a request for more info. I got a text from someone asking several different questions and advised me I would hear from the admissions director in a few days. I texted back on Friday August 28 since I hadnt heard anything and was advised to be patient and they would follow up to check and see of I received a call. On Tuesday September 1, I get a text from someone named Jane asking if Id heard from the director. I advised no and the woman said she would reschedule me. I asked if i was scheduled for a specific day and i possibly missed it and she responded with we dont know the directors schedule. A week later on Monday September 7 i reached out AGAIN asking for any type of update. Didn’t receive a response until Tuesday September 8 when they told me to wait on a call and they will follow up with me. On Wednesday September 9 I get a text from a Mae asking if id spoken with the director. At this point i am livid and said no and to forget the phone call. She advised that theyve been busy and that she forwarded my information along with the conversation (to God knows who) and they would prioritize me for a phone call. Well its now September 30 and i havnt even received a follow up text to them allegedly prioritizing me. If you cant even call to give me more information what makes you think id be ok with sending my child to your school. Absolutely disgusting. *In case they try to say theyve never spoken with me ive attached the screen shots of the conversations.*
TL;DR
A colleague of mine observed staff abuse a special needs student physically and verbally. Colleague reported the abuse to admin. Admin did nothing.

Detailed version:
A colleague of mine is employed by Bridgeway Academy. I am posting this on their behalf, due to their fears of losing their job.

Colleague works at Bridgeway’s special education students. Colleague observed a staff member become frustrated by a young boy during an activity.

Staff grabbed the child’s arm, lifting him off the ground from a cross legged position. The child began crying. Staff then began to make derogatory comments regarding his race. My colleague interrupted the altercation.

Colleague asked staff to leave the room. Staff complied. Colleague calmed the students, and staff entered with admin. Colleague spoke with admin and explained what happened. Security footage was reviewed by admin to confirm colleague’s allegation.

Admin promptly deleted the video, which is contained on a database accessible to staff — a huge security flaw. Admin refused to address the incident further. Staff was not punished, fired, or suspended.

Instead of keeping Bridgeway Students safe from harm, admin circled the wagons — choosing to protect their reputation over special needs children.
