In comparison to the other locations, this one is by far the worst.

We were told by another location that “Clifton is the best,” and “it’s excellent.” So we made the switch.

Our daughter has been in the school since she was 6 months.. she’s almost four now. The staff here (other than Justin) is simply super unprofessional, we purposely book instructors only to be consistently surprised with a new one almost every week. There’s just a different sense of teaching at this facility, it’s military-esque. Constant questions like, “what time is it?” Yelling at the kids, pulling them into the water and the “just do it! attitude” is all what to expect at this location. There is very little encouragement but more so of a JUMP IN, or “I will push you if you were my daughter..”

BUT, there is good here, and that’s the gentleman in the front, Justin. Ever since we’ve switched he consistently made sure our daughter felt welcomed. There are times where there weren’t any seats, and he would grab some that he didn’t need to. He was the ONLY one to checked on us compared to other locations. He’s knowledgeable, professional, and hands down the best employee at Clifton.

The pool is huge, there’s parking.. but I’m glad I’m out of there.

Over the last few visits I was able to get a glimpse of the new instructors in training. Most of them are busy gossiping, making fun of kids & their parents and splashing themselves with water, instead of actually trying to learn how to become a good instructor. Water activities are not a joke, safety is a priority. I would absolutely NOT trust them with my child. I recorded a short video of what I was seeing to show to my husband because I honestly don’t feel comfortable with what I witnessed.
We are highly considering opting-out of this membership if our daughter’s instructor doesn’t return to teach her how to swim!

We have been coming to this pool with our 4y.o daughter for a year now.
This 5 starts review goes to the best instructor we have ever had-Mr. Shy!!!!
He truly is a one in a million teacher, so down to earth, very professional, always with a smile on his face.
Mr.Shy pays attention to every single detail, keeps my daughter safe and he’s energy is great. He makes learning swimming fun and my daughter always wants to come back and learn more!!!!
Please do yourself a favor and hire more instructors like Mr.Shy!!!!

My son is autistic and like most things he initially had a lot of anxiety about the water. Sensory sensitivities and unfamiliar surroundings made him hesitant, but the staff at British Swim School were absolute angels. They took the time to get to know and understand his triggers. The instructors used visuals, clear communication, and positive reinforcement to create a comfortable and engaging learning environment. I have to say it was not easy finding a swim school that met my son’s needs. Therefore, I can save most parents the trouble by saying to give this school a chance. A HUGE thank you to all the staff and most certainly to my son’s instructors, the Scott Brothers!
