I would recommend the Brown Aveda Institute to all my friends. The front desk staff has always treated me kindly the second I walk through the door. I have had multiple appointments with Shannon Minney and she has never disappointed. Shannon has the utmost patience with every project she takes on. Everything is always prepped and ready to go when I show up for my appointment as well. The staff made an effort to circle back with me during a longer appointment to offer me snacks and drinks, I thought this was so thoughtful and not something every salon does. These up and coming cosmologists in training mean business. Ive watched many of the other students work during my appointments and I wouldnt hesitate to trust any of them with my hair. This institution takes pride in their work and it shows in how well I am treated at every visit.
Dont go to school here!!!! And dont get your hair or nails done because they arent allowed to accept tips. Go somewhere you can tip. I went to school here and they took away our break room, bought lunch every day for an YEAR and had to eat in my car every day. Winter too! Freezing cold!! Guess what? Staff had a break room with seats, tables, microwave, fridge, coffee
we didnt get any of that. What did i pay $20,000 for?? DO NOT GO HERE!!
