This is a community that honors and celebrates children. The faculty are experts in teaching and learning. They are also powerful advocates for their students. The Quaker values are a lens through which children see unlimited opportunities to make new knowledge, care deeply about one another, and together figure out what impact they will make on the world. You just do not see this particular learning environment anywhere else.
Really wonderful experience for 9 years for my daughter and family. Faculty is the best thing about the school. They really come to know your child. They make every effort to help you at every turn. The campus is lovely. The staff responds quickly to your concerns. There are class trips each year (Washington DC, Barrier islands off Virginia coast, camping at a local park, an organic farm in Massachusetts).
