My daughter has been going to Building Blocks since May of this year. It was her first experience with Day Care/Nursery School, and we couldn’t be happier. She absolutely loves going to school, and has a great time there everyday. The teachers are fantastic, and the communication from the faculty is incredible. They have an app where we receive photos and updates throughout the day. We are thrilled with the activities she does with her class, and we have seen marked growth in her letter recognition and her social skills. She gets plenty of mental and physical stimulation every day. Furthermore, she eats better than we do! The lunches and snacks they provide are all organic and top notch.
As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, the facilities are clean, modern, and well kept. Transmitter park is right around the corner, and the children get to go on excursions daily (weather permitting). I cannot recommend Building Blocks enough. If you’re in North Brooklyn and searching for a Day Care/Nursery School, they are about the best out there!
My son (3) adores his teachers and friends at Building Blocks. The kids do lots of fun and educational activities. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided which is super convenient also the menu is varied and nutritious and our little guy loves it. The teachers keep up updated on what the kids are up to via an app (picture updates, videos, what he ate, if theres an issue). Yelena, the director, is very communicative, kind and and flexible. She understands what the juggle of being a working parent of a toddler is, as she is one herself. We truly loved our experience and are sad to leave. The teachers Ms.Victoria and Ms. Sky are exceptional: always full of energy, bright and happy to see the kids. They worked closely with us through various developmental phases (like potty training, learning how to redirected frustration and much more). Overall a beautiful experience for my family
Our daughter loved BBOG and learnt so much during the time spent in the place. All teachers and administration have always been very supportive and helped our family tremendously during the time she attended her 3K. Teachers are very creative – kids do lots of great, Montessori vibe crafts, learn a lot about different things and cultures. The facility is brand new and kept super clean. Administration directors are great communicators and keep parents updated through the app all time. Kids get a lot of interesting activities during their indoor and outdoor time – for example trip to a fire station, catching butterflies, visit of a policeman, yoga and much more. Parents got their Mothers and Fathers Day organised with breakfast, gifts and a little song singing show. Our experience was 100% positive and if you are to make the decision whether or not to pick the place just do it.
