Our family had a brief and extremely disappointing experience with this facility.
Before I jump into the nuts and bolts of my review, I’d like to point out that the pictures and video their Yelp page are out of date. The teachers do not dress inform, and the current Director is not represented in the marketing.

The yelp page, nor the website lists the director, teacher or their credentials. If you are a parent looking for a preschool facility with credentialed teachers, this isn’t it.

After a tour, we made an initial decision to start with the school. We attended a few drop-in days, and then we had our son out for a week. During that week no one from the school called or emailed to check on our family, or even to inquire about whether or not our son was sick. And when we returned the following week instead of a polite inquiry about my son, I was confronted by the new site director who was abrasive and aggressive asking for tuition payment which was due in the time period that we were away. Given that I had never met this woman, it was off-putting for her to not introduce herself, her credentials or her relationship to the center. It was also off-putting that she was more interested in the money than actually meeting my son, and learning more about us as new customers. After attending for 9 days we called it quits because of the constant harassment for payment (which had already been worked out with the office). They literally emailed multiple times a day, and then called me in the office which is just crazy when there’s already an arrangement in place. Based on my observations of the center, and tours of several other sites in the San Ramon area, this place is targeted more towards families who need affordable care. They didn’t disclose the credentialing of the teachers, and none of them were dressed consistently to the video on this page. Any care center that has aggressive tactics in place, or emails multiple times a day (with multiple grammatical errors in their messages) is more focused on keeping cash flow as opposed to working with the children. As a parent, I want my child attending a school where there’s some level of professionalism, especially with the director because they set the tone. This isn’t marketed as a mom and pop shop. It’s marketed as a longstanding established professional care center. That wasn’t our experience.

The only real response I got about my concern was that the owner was the one who wanted them focused on money. Our family was looking for an education-focused center and between the negative experience with the director, and the lack of professionalism, we opted for a more expensive facility in the area that more closely aligns with the goals for our child’s education and care. I hope this helps. God Bless.

This is the first preschool my daughter attend when she’s 2. She is taking 4 days a week from 9AM to 4PM for 9 months already.
I can see many magical changes day by day. For example, my daughter can play on her own independently and wish to do many things herself. The most important is: I always see her happy face when I pick her up.
And I like the teachers in there too. They are so taking care of each child. I can feel that they really love to teach the kids there. There’re many special holiday events and the director Miss Christine working hard to make each event so enjoyable.
We really appreciate all the staff at Teddy Bears.
