I highly recommend this school. New building just recently opened and all the children and teachers love it. Everyone is welcoming every single student and try to do their best to help children develop and reach their goals. Lots of activities are offered. The new principle is great and always open for suggestions and improvements. This school also has a great community which was important to us. We can’t complain and if you are looking for an inclusive school, Bundoora Primary is the place to send your child.
Poor
We had a poor experience at this non inclusive school. In our experience, claims on the website were untrue about supporting and preparing the child to take the next step. The prep class teacher doesn’t have skill sets to groom a child and never made any efforts to do anything for our son and was prone to accusing our child for every small thing that impacted his confidence. They weren’t prepared to uncover any strengths of the child, were prone to complaining for smallest of things , and making it a big deal. While the school was pretty negligent in terms of child safety, that wasn’t made a big deal for some strange reason. Blamed the child vs taking accountability for anything. This school doesn’t have a fence built around it either. The Infrastructure was run down and the bathrooms that kids used weren’t well maintained and didn’t have basic hygiene. Our experience wasn’t pleasant. Don’t recommend if you are looking for inclusion.we weren’t made to feel that the parent or child belongs there.
Last year I was a year 6 student at the school. I was the sport captain and the school principal told us she is big on student voice. (She was not.) Every time someone suggested something she would shoot us down and us leaders didn’t have a say on anything at all in the school and the principal was very rude to us as well. At our graduation we had to do silly tiktok dances and our graduation wasn’t special. It made us feel like any other people leaving but with people saying goodbye. A lot of us year 6’s felt neglected and our year 6 year wasn’t special as the principal decided year 5 students get captain roles as well which took the fun out of being a year 6. And several staff members there had a lot to say about us students and they made us feel bad about ourselves. At least the Vice Principal is nice.

Such an amazing school. Teachers care and make a difference. Our kids are happy and learning life lessons. Kindness , teamwork and confidence are part of the focus as Bundoora Primary School. Well done to Lee Pollard and the Staff Team.
