Any problems with the school stemmed primarily from the state mandated focus on passing standardized tests. It seems an absurd amount of education time is spent preparing for, and taking tests.
That said, the school has an amazing orchestra and band program, reaching a large percentage of the student body with an opportunity to learn music. As well, there is a flourishing theatre program, and lots of clubs for things like robotics and science and advanced academics.
