Terrible, terrible, terrible school. Most if not all teachers and staff are activist and politically driven in all their education implementation styles. From the principle down this place needs a full clean out in order to properly educate. Anyone who cares about your daughter and the future society we all live in please stay away from this school.
to be honest i don’t recommend this school, they killed my poor baby poochie, my bird, the one i love the most, DEAD. and you know what they did? chuck him out. Now me personally i did NOT let this slide, it was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life, and you know the worst of all? they made me WITNESS him get thrown out into the garbage and into the truck where they take all the garbages to waste land, and speaking of waste land, lets talk about POLLUTION. Burwood Girls has done NOTHING to help the rubbish that has been polluted there, every international day, the posters that are made of paper stay there for a month straight and the poor birds have to eat it because they think it tastes like chocolates and cupcakes well NO, it is RUBBISH, this is why my poochie died.
tbh ginga is so weird and ellis is too tall (6’9″) it’s so scary but their also kinda uwu. If you’re looking for emo people its a good thing maggies here. Also there are so many furries
My niece has been getting bullied since last year. Since then it has only gotten worse to the point that she is getting threatened and we went to the principal and she said she would “talk” to these other girls and still nothing happened. The principal has taken the other girls side without considering what my niece had to say we’ve had to take it to the police and still no action was taken by the school. My niece was scared to attend school because of these threats and all the school did was put my niece in one of the classrooms all day while the other girls are walking around the school. It’s gotten to the stage that now she is moving schools because Burwood girls have done nothing. WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND SENDING YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL.
BGHS is an excellent all round school for education, arts, sports and performing arts and a much sought after high school for entry with a longstanding great reputation. The school is run by their wonderful Principal – Mrs Mia Kumar – who won the Top 50 NSW Public Sector Women Award 2018. The BEP (Burwood Ensemble Program) for musicians is outstanding and run by highly respected Mr Andrew (Andy) Del Riccio.
My daughter has really enjoyed her time here and made lots of friends. I highly recommend BGHS.
