Just because this school is newer does not mean it’s better. I have had my son discriminated against for several years. When he first entered kindergarten his kindergarten teacher Miss Mallory ever so gently implied that I should basically put my baby on medications. He was only 5! Really??? Mr. Reynolds is a complete joke. That man will take any other childs word over actually investigating the situation and really getting to the bottom of what happened. The only good that ever came out of that school was mrs. Hendricks she was a wonderful vice principal who was wonderful with children and who always kept great communication with the parents I wish she would come back. If your child is any other race other than Indian or white you will feel the wrath of jazz Peterson and mr. Reynolds. They love to suspend children who have had a bit of a harder time or who don’t learn the way that they want them to learn. I have done everything on my part now that my child is a 7th grader I have tried to some of the medications that make him physically sick I have gotten him therapy and I have also gotten him a tutor for the classes he needs what else can I do on my part? Butte Vista has very much failed my child.
My Son has gone to multiple schools over the years due to my profession and having to move a lot. This school by far is the worst. They have a beautiful campus but the administration is clearly not qualified to run this school. They discriminate against my son because I would not allow them to put him in a special education class even though he carries a B average. He also suffers from migraines and he is not allowed to visit the nurse when they come on. We had to buy him a cell phone to call us because they just don’t seem to care that he is in pain. They suspended him last month because he got knocked over when a kid got pushed into him and that is their criteria for “physical involvement”. My daughter goes to April Lane and the staff there is amazing and well organized. Thinking about pulling my son and sending him there so he can get a real education. What is sad is that I was twice as impressed with Kynoch in Marysville.
They were not equipped to handle the boy’s needs, even though we had been assured that they would be. The school had five aids standing around outside doing absolutely nothing while my mother had to fight him into school, because he did not like it there. They then had the gumption to call CPS on us for “abuse” when their people should have stepped in the minute he became violent against my mother. They made promises they were clearly unable to keep, and rather than admitting to such, they decided to slander my family through CPS. I would give them no stars, but the rating system makes me give them one.
