I’m a student at cactus high that has always struggled with math, the teachers and staff do as much as they can to help me improve and better me. Most math teachers stay after school as long as they need to to help there students personally.teachers here know what they are doing and most often we never have substitutes and when we do our class is most often on task. I not only love my teachers and peers. CHS is a small school were everyone knows everyone and every one gets along. Our school pride and spirit is amazing I’ve never been to one game or even a gathering and did not feel our spirit. We’re mostly known for how great we play our sports (football and basketball) but also we are an A school. I’m a 10th grader.
My son is a freshman this year at Cactus and I am very happy with this school. I also went to this school and loved it. My son wants to be a doctor and they have amazing electives for him like the med start program where he will eventually be able to follow a doctor of his specialty around and after completing the program have a chance to take an exam and graduate highschool with a MA certificate. They also have great advanced math classes that count for college credits. His counselor has been great in guiding him as to which electives he should be taking and what colleges look for on their applications. My son also plays baseball and the coaching staff is amazing.
I am a first-year teacher at CHS, with experience in other states and districts. I can say that CHS has been so welcoming to me. The Administration and other staff have been very supportive and accommodating. Everyone here has a passion for making a difference with kids; from the teachers, to the coaches, to security personnel, to Admin Assistants, to cafeteria staff, to maintenance, to Administration and beyond.
