Things we love about the school:
1. They have a circle time to practice having your little one sit on the carpet like they would at school, but keep it appropriately timed for their attention spans.
2. They are learning new concepts and topics every week with a heavy focus on play and social emotional learning. My little guy started the school barely being able to talk and with no social skills having come fresh from lockdown and having no close family or friends with kids. Over these last few years we’ve watched him grow in all the best ways. Now he is actively chatting away and making friends. He loves coming to school.
3. The other parents. This is no cold drop off at the door, where you have no idea what’s happening inside the room. You build a community and work together to make the school great. You find other moms who can support each other and that you can trust with your children with. It’s a network of working together that I don’t think you can find elsewhere. With having a volunteer day in the school you are involved with knowing all the children and care that goes into it.
4. Monthly fun field trips that help your child grow.
5. A preschool teacher who actively cares about your kids. Mr. Jake does an amazing job getting down on a child’s level and relating to them. We’ve been involved in other preschools in the past and the amount that he does far surpasses others we’ve met. Seriously impressed.
6. The arts and crafts are fridge worthy. It’s hard to pick which one should be hung up next.
7. The fresh air. Open air and less enclosed spaces. They’ll still get sick sure, but a little less then when we were in a room.
I don’t regret my time involved with the school and if others give it a try I hope they have as good a time as we did! Love this little preschool and glad we found it.
