Can’t say enough good things about the staff and CFI’s at Camarillo Flight Instruction! Mikey at the Flight Desk stays pretty busy keeping things running smoothly, but never hesitates to take the time to explain the ins and outs of the school, training programs and aircraft scheduling to both current and prospective students. Jake (my CFI) has been incredibly flexible and generous with his time and scheduling, even flying twice a week at 6am with me in order to work through my Private Pilot training before work hours! Just did my first solo last week and can’t wait to keep working through the rest of my PPL with these guys over the next few months! If you’re looking for a flight school at Camarillo Airport without the off-putting and and sometimes intimidating pretentiousness of some of the other schools out there, drop into CFI and give these guys a shot…you won’t regret it!
I obtained my PPL 10 years ago and then took a break to focus on family. I decided to get back into flying, but was nervous about the busy SOCAL airspace. Mikey, the officer manager, made me feel welcomed and helped me get started at CFI. All of the instructors are fantastic and helped me gain my confidence to fly again. Now I am working on my IFR rating with Anthony, who is a great instructor who is patient and focused on teaching you lifelong skills to keep you safe. I have been to many flight schools. CFI is one of the best operations I have experienced.
