To be honest this school is not that bad. It has its ups and downs. I noticed their working as hard as they can lately. Teachers to me it depends on your childs teacher, my childs teacher is so great ????. Food i cant say because i send lunch from home, but also if you have a problem with lunch i would recommend you to contact school and let them know, sure they will make you happy next time. Carpool, they need to work better on it, i guess its the worst part in school, but not everyday. Some days carpool is good and some days bad especially if you have another child in another school and need to go pick them up, very stressful. Some people in carpool are not professional at all and don’t understand how bad your situation is and think they can treat you like whatever, yes their cold and work hard getting carpool go fast but please don’t ignore our feelings as parents. Uniform yes they need to wear at all times, but they can have a coat when they go outside, sure they don’t want your child sick when its too cold, no way they do and if you think theirs a problem you can always talk to school but my child always wears her coat out side and in school uniform of course because its a policy. Also if you look at the photos they posted in Google you would notice the girl standing in the front and some sitting are not wearing school jackets, and sweaters. Also Why would I complain when uniform is on policy list and website before applying my child?! If people don’t like it then they can just go to another school that doesn’t require uniforms. I personaly love their uniform and recomend it. If my child went to another school that didn’t require a uniform then I’m going to buy them alot of clothes, shoes, sweaters, coats and pay allot of money which i do for my boy who’s in a public school. So why complain about paying for a uniform that doesn’t cost much. Last is I have 2 kids in two different schools, my girl in charter and boy in another school, but trust me my boys 5 star school also had its ups and downs. He had problem the other day which was the schools problem, i went to school and spoke to his teacher and principal, fixed problem, both sides are happy at the end of the day. So please don’t judge and start communicating with your kids schools, trust me they do listen and will make you happy, and if they don’t then move your kids and do whats best for them and you.
I give it three stars because I believe it is an above average school. There are some positives and some negatives.

Positives: K-8 allows siblings to be in the same school for longer. Some teachers we have had good experiences with. Specials are quality. New school building. Parent involvement is good. My kids seem to enjoy it. The parent Facebook group is very very entertaining (some might see this as a negative).

Negatives: Carpool is bad – backups into the city streets. Communication (teacher to parent) has been a struggle for some of the teachers we have had. Every student I’ve talked to dislikes one of the specials teachers, and the school seems to ignore that problem teacher. School has control over the PTC funds, which gives little flexibility to the parents in spending donated money. Uniforms only can be bought at one place, and are expensive.

Middle school is not a true middle school environment. They don’t get the freedom allowed and deserved of kids that age. But it’s the product of being in the same school as the elementary kids. I truly believe it’s a disadvantage however when they go into a large high school. They won’t necessarily know how to manage being so free vs. so sheltered.

In my opinion, this is a good school. Is it the greatest? No, not at all. There are plenty of problems, but the good seem to outweigh the bad mostly. The parents on here who give FIVE stars, seem to be ignoring issues (possibly making themselves feel better about their school selection if reviews of the school are good), and the parents on here that give one star ignore the positives.

I’ve tried to give a level headed review.
