So if you are thinking about sending your child to this school don’t unless you want your child to have to deal with racist teachers and more I went to this school for 1 semester and the people at the school like staff just want their pay check and for the school to get more students they don’t pay any attention to anything they take things way to far the students there are mostly slicing their risks and more, talking about suicide and even I thought about taking my life at this school because of the pressure and how mistreated I was. They only care about if you got into a fight or you got in trouble with a teacher and you get detention for no reason. Fights, the first few weeks and there were already 3 or more they don’t pay attention to thier staff in any way the teacher for 6 grade English and history honors class is very racist in lots of students opinions including mine if you go up to a group of students at the school and you ask about her they will say that she was mean and for two school years put all of the African American students in the back of the class and will not even look at you’re black dad in the eye. That is what I have to say about this school if you really want to send your child here
I am a Carnegie alumni. Many, many memories were made in the span of three years at this school. Although many people have said terrible things about this school, I have to say that I’ve grown to love Carnegie. I will admit that there are multiple problems. It’s upsetting to see a number of students at the school are affiliated with gangs. It’s also common to discriminate against people who are different whether it be the color of their skin, their sexuality, religion, etc. Another problem is that so many students are so disrespectful — especially against teachers. Academic-wise, this school isn’t as bad as they say it is. There are a number of amazing teachers at the school. I’ve learned so many important things and I appreciate the education I got from there. I honestly miss Carnegie, but I wish for improvement at the school.
