Absolutely terrible school worked in early years for three weeks due to being agency.. and my god pull your children out now . They left a 3 year old child wet for several hours . If your child doesn’t apples or pears they have no snack. If your child is lactose they have no drink or juice at snack time. The staff are of age and don’t have the temperament to handle children so young… they leave the children out in the pouring rain . And if a child misses there dad or mum they tell the child to get over it no comfort nothing. I was disgusted and I’ll never return
The new Head has done wonders. In 6 months the school has become a pleasant and welcoming place. Teachers look after the kids. Office ladies are helpful and sweet. My kids are very happy there
Castle Hill is a very good school. My kids are doing really well and I’m glad it got rated Good by Ofsted too. The staff are amazing and care for the children.
An average school for this area, staff are friendly enough, homework needs improving isn’t stretching enough or often enough.
Spelling are given once a week,I have never been informed how my child does with these, ever.
P.E is often cancelled and not rescheduled.
Reading records books are given to every child, no teacher has ever written comments in it/ asked question about the book that is being read currently, the only person to do so was a T.A who was in my childs class in two different years.
I feel that I make more of an effort if I know that they are being monitored i.e make sure reading is being done every night, ask questions about what is being read and check spellings as it is this is not happening, disappointing.
Very long waits when you’re ‘ number one in the queue ‘ – met with abrupt service by some reception staff
