I’ve done 2 Cest Ci bon programs, the taste the adventure in North Carolina and the Gascony France trip. My experience at the North Carolina trip was Led by Dorette Snover and Lee Schnell. I had a wonderful time in North Carolina, we went to farms, local cheesemakers, and farmers markets getting to see and learn firsthand. This summer I went to Gascony, France with the taste the adventure group led by Erik Snover. We went around Southern France doing activities like: going to markets, visiting local shops, canoeing, and horseback riding. All the activities outside of the house were fantastic. I had issues with the leadership of Erik in the kitchen/house as his tone felt extremely harsh. Erik would sit the four of us down after dinner and unload his issues he had accumulated with us from throughout the day, often leaving us feeling bad about ourselves when we were supposed to be having fun on vacation. I tried to express some of my issues about the program after it had ended and I was blocked by Erik on both my culinary and personal instagram accounts.
My partner, and I did sushi date night, just after Valentines. It was an exquisite evening! We had easy directions to follow in order to get to the event. We were welcomed with gourmet appetizers and beverages. We had an exceptional class full of insightful instructions and wonderful food to make our sushi. The evening concluded with a saki paired with our culinary sushi creations, and a delectable mochi dessert. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a date night.
Thank you, Erick and staff for a night to remember! I can’t wait to go back and do more!
I attended a cooking lesson at C’est Si Bon Culinary School in Chapel Hill and it was a wonderful experience! The expertise of the instructors Eric and Abbie was on point. The meal we prepared was delicious. If you’re looking for something new and different, I encourage you to sign up for one of their classes. You won’t be dissapointed!!! During the summer cooking classes are offered for youth.
