I am mad. I am very upset about all these bad reviews online about Trinity Catholic academy! I read them last night and I was boiling! Are you guys serious! You all are lying!!!!!!Yes liars. Every single one of you that left a bad review have bad kids that need to be straightened out. Yes!!!! you are damn right!!!!Take them back to plouff!!! public or where ever, they belong there. Trinity is not for unruly kids. If your kids are not ready to follow the strict rules at Trinity that has made it an exceptionally fantastic school, then by all means, take them somewhere else to crash and burn. Before you think I work for Trinity or have any financial or friendly affiliation with Trinity whatsoever. Lie!!!! I am a parent of 3 exceptional kids who attended Trinity, and who are thriving in their present school, still on honor roll, Summa Cum Laud okay, and Trinity Catholic academy is their foundation. Every school has a room for improvement. If you have any issues with the school, why not attend one of the PTO meetings or one of their focus groups and air your grievances, instead of coming on social media to trash them for no reason. All while your kid is still in the school. How smart! Why would you want to ruin the only blessing a community has left. Ms. Tasho is the art teacher. Most kids think art is a joke and think they can go to the class gooff, not focus. Ms. Tasho knows this and works hard to help make sure they learn art, because art is the quickest way for kids to become smart in math and other subjects. But most parents do not know that. Ms. Blanchette might not be the best customer service person, but that is not her job. She is the principal of the lower campus period. She likes to follow the rules to the letter. As much as I believe she has to try to incorporate some good customer service into her routine, there are better ways to handle that. Trinity is an excellent school. My kids attended there from K-5, 6 and 7th grade. What that review said about the k education is 100% accurate. This school has mostly passionate teachers. They have the TAG program for smart kids to learn at accelerated pace. They have excellent stem program and art museum program. My kids belonged to the choir group throughout their school years , and loved it, even my son. They do community services by singing in nursing homes, the school Gala and even at the city hall. They have a great instrument group and band. All my kids now play different instruments because of Trinity and this is helping them get into the most prestigious prep high schools in the state. They have an excellent basketball team, with a very passionate coach who can take kids from 0 to 100% in just one season. My daughter never played basketball, but ended up as one of 2 best players. The team is mostly undefeated Everyone from the secretary to the principal are helpful and kind. Not uncommon to see teachers and principal welcoming your kids to school every morning, even in the snow, and saying goodbye at the end of the school day. They have a very generous financial package that helped me survive the years my kids were there. I only pulled my kids out because I could no longer afford to pay. So, no, it is not a cheap school. They take library very serious, because they incorporate social studies and history into it , it served my kids and many other kids I know very well. But I agree, they should go easy on the grading. Each class has a gym day. They have a beautiful gym. They have a fantastic after school program, run by amazing staff. I have lots of great things to say about the school. I am grateful that my kids went there and highly recommend it to any parent who wants their kid trained right. But if you think your kid is the jewel of Zambia, too big or precious to be corrected, then by all means take them where they are allowed to sleep in class while the teacher is teaching. Have your kids take advantage of all the amazing opportunities at this school, too many to mention. I had my kids participate in everything. Stop trashing the school, it is a blessing!!
This is the first year ever my son has entered to the Kindergarten at TCA. He never ever been in school before except with his grandma, he didn’t know how to write, color and read the book. Since September until now (after 6 months), he not only know how to write his full name nice and neat, he can even read the level 1 book with very little help, he can draw, he can color the pictures much much better. I wish I can post all of his successful progress from my son on here to prove for what I’ve said. I feel so proud and also very happy that me and my husband made a right decision about this. My son now love to go to school, stay in school than go home because he loves his teachers, his friends so much. We also loves all of his arts that he did in school, we posted them outside our door in the apartment building so our neighbors can enjoy the lovely arts my son did, and, they really love them. The other things that I want to share is about the financial aid program, it is such a helping hand to helping us our with the tuition. First, our impressive about the private school is money, but after applied for my son and found out about financial aid program, they helped us to cover for the tuition more than half ( even though we did it late since first year) based on our income. I have to say thank you so much for all the staffs and the teachers in the school, no matter who you are and where you came from, they treat you and your child in love, care and equally. We are lucky to have TCA, from there, my son can have a good education, a better environment and a bright future, also the most important that the kids can learn is moral.
As the new school year approached I could not let another day pass without providing feedback on my experience for 17-18 school year. Parents beware the head of school Mrs. Blanchette will not under any circumstance place your child before a teacher. If your child comes home or acts out of character believe there is an issue listen to your child. I took my son to see a behavioral health specialist because I didnt understand his anger and emotional distress that was occurring only after he started at Trinity for Kindergarten. Mrs Blancette knew the teacher had a long history of issues and she lead me to believe it had to only be my child who was the the issue. I was new to Brockton and didnt know many parents but by mid year I started hear Mrs. McLaughlin had been an issue for many current and previous families. Some could not believe she was still employed. My gut told me something was wrong with the teacher, her approach was less than professional with each interaction, she was very defensive. Listen to your children do not let the leaders of this school lead you to believe your child is the issue. By April I could no longer allow him to suffer I pulled him from the school, scaficed the extra money and sent him back to his old private school and there has not been one single issue since April…back to his happy self. I took a hit on the pre paid tuition because Trinity would not refund me, which is ok because my childs peace is priceless!
