When i moved in this area i was excited for my child to go to a STEM school but i was let down for sure! This school is unorganized some of the staff in the front office are rude and confrontational. My child came from Flat rock and they were very good at communicating especially if there was any issues this school is the opposite they dnt communicate and then they make as if your child should just be able to handle bullying and issues that should be addressed by an adult. It’s November and we still dnt have agendas no spirit shirts but yet they reward kids for wearing shirts during spirit week go figure. I personally dnt see a challenge at this school she has had one project and honestly i dnt see the big difference with the whole STEM programs they just do enough to get by.This will be her first and last year at this “STEM” school
CHES is a good school if you want to come to school to learn and have fun. The teachers go out of their way to make sure you can do the work and pass the test. Do they yell? …. Sometimes yes. Often because kids aren’t doing what they are supposed to do. Teacher at this school don’t mistreats, they love us and want us to do well in life. We have so many clubs you can join; 4H, YLOD, GENTS, Jr. BETA, Chorus, Robotics, Girls Who Code, & Girls Who Game… Something for everybody! Whoever said we are NOT a STEM school has NOT been in our school. We do STEM in all content areas. We are real world problem solvers. Every student should have a school like CHES where they are taught to ROAR(BE Respectful Orderly Achievers who are Responsible)
Current CHES student! PAWSOME??????
This school is okay it’s not the best for starters, the after school program threatened to not feed the kids, the food is undercooked and the apple sauce has hair in it. The principal is 2 faced and says hurtful things to the children. The assistant principal Mrs york feels the entitlement that she runs the school and wants to decide all the rules when the principal isn’t there.

The milk is expired and they handed expired milk out to a whole bunch of kids not stopping until a teacher said something about it. It’s a good school they should just do better. Knew a 4th grade teacher who tried to guilt trip students with her sisters death and lied and put kids down. Pretty sure her name was Mrs todd.
