I was once a student at Shea, it is true i did feel unprepared for college but i made something of my self. The teachers I had were good some better than others but they had to teach to the class level. If you ask me I feel like its the students who need to start taking responsibility for there own actions, like one of my teachers always said in pre-calc class, “Be Accountable & Responsible” for your actions, and to be honest most of the kids aren’t. For a school with little resources, its hard to teach with low funding, if the gov. pumped billions into education rather than defense i wouldn’t be surprised to see the Pawtucket school system change.
DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL !! This is the worst school you can ever go to. These teachers constantly start trouble with my brother and send him home knowing he has epilepsy. They stressed him out so bad he had two seizures at home because of it and its not fair these teachers are bullying my brother !!!! This is his last year and all he wants is to graduate and get his diploma but theyre not allowing him to and its not right he does his work his grades are good !! These teachers are just bullies.
I graduated from Shea in 2004. I firmly believe the students broke down into two groups. Those who cared about their education & wanted to go on to better their lives. The second group were those who treated school as a joke and didn’t care about their future or want to make something of their lives. I had some great teachers who did a fantastic job. However if given the chance to do it all over again I wouldn’t have gone to Shea.
