threatens to send autistic kids to mental hospitals after they have breakdowns, ignores the fact that the gender-neutral bathrooms are completely broken, and that there are racists in the school. horrible place to raise and teach children. best thing in the school is that all the staff is getting asbestos poisoning and that the roofs are caving in.
teachers cant treat disabled kids well and the school buliding is falling apart. school isnt given nearly enough money in school for small stuff like fixing broken windows or buying butter instead of margarine.
traumatic and the students are all out of control
right. Where do I start with this school. its falling apart both literally and metaphorically. As many other reviews say, the roofs are falling to pieces, but honestly, the whole place is a lot worse than it used to be. There used to be a whole fancy kitchen in Home economics, and it random disappeared, I assume it was sold for money. Then there’s the radio place, I don’t know what that room was actually called, but the school used to have a whole radio station and would teach children how to do everything involved with it. It was there when I joined 3-4 years ago, but now its gone? I assume it was also sold but its seriously messed up. The school obviously has money problems and it wouldn’t surprise me if they weren’t receiving enough support from the council. Now to the teachers. They’re all nice enough people, but they do. not. teach. English department is about the only good department in my personal opinion, the rest have terrible teachers, seriously do not get me wrong, they are lovely people but they’re bad at their job most of the time. Another complaint I have is how they are dealing with the S4’s failing, They’re blaming the students when we’ve all just come out of an international lockdown, and are now being made to do prelims and catch up. every other schools S4’s are doing fine, but Charleston Academy’s is not. Obviously the staff are doing something wrong, but have decided to blame the students.
Honestly, I think they just have a money problem overall. If you are able to send your child to another school I recommend it lmao, this place is messed up.
They still cant catch the kid who is setting off all the fire alarms and one of the teachers is afraid of black Santas, another thinks black face is okay.
Teachers are good craic but this school seriously has issues. Favourite thing to do in this school is jump off C floor.
