If I could give CAM 100 stars, I would. My daughter has always loved performing, so we tried a few children’s theater programs in the area and they were fine. As a parent (and, admittedly, one who loves the theater), I felt like the other programs served the purpose of having fun and enjoying music.
We found CAM when we were looking for voice lessons for my daughter. Our experience with the vocal teachers has been incredible. Ms Laura has taught her so much about MUSIC, in addition to teacher her to sing.
Through our voice lessons, we discovered CAM’s theater camps and this has been the major game changer. You’d never believe what the talented staff can pull off in just a week in the summer! It’s truly remarkable and we are so thankful to have found Charlotte Academy of Music!
The Charlotte Academy of Music has it all. Whether you’re young or old, beginner or advanced, play an instrument or sing and act, you will find a vibrant and supportive music family here at CAM. The music teachers, staff, and the director are all caring, competent and encouraging. If you’re looking for more than music lessons, CAM offers many opportunities to help you grow musically and personally through concert performances, summer camps, community service, music competitions, and the Royal Conservatory of Music examination program. Our children have been taking piano lessons for nine years and counting now and we are so pleased with the support and comprehensive music education they have received from CAM. This is truly a gem of a music school!
