My daughter is finishing up her 2nd grade year, and she has attended CJDS now for 2 years. She has been thriving at CJDS, and I’ve noticed a significant difference in her confidence, scholastics, and support at CJDS vs. the neighborhood CMS public school she attended for kindergarten. She has attended in-person continuously during both the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years during the pandemic. The school has been extraordinarily communicative and up-to-date in their response to changing community health responses.

The class sizes have been small and the curriculum is modified personally for each child in attendance at CJDS. I’m consistently impressed with the administration, the teaching, and the extracurricular activities offered at CJDS. There is a seamless communication also with after school programming at the Levine JCC in conjunctiin with CJDS.

I have spoken candidly with teachers and teacher aides at CJDS about their happiness with the administration and how things are run. I have overwhelming heard positive feedback in this regard about their happiness working there and it shows!

Initially, I was concerned about the amount of education dedicated to Judaic studies; however, I’ve been impressed with my daughter’s acumen at speaking, reading , and writing in Hebrew as a significant part of her Judaic education. I’m so positively astonished at the level these 2nd graders, etc. can communicate in Hebrew. I find a great value in using these parts of your brain to learn another completely different language and alphabet. It’s been incredible!

I highly recommend CJDS!

We started attending CJDS during Covid-19. It was not in our plan to send our daughter to a private school, but our transition to the day school was one of the bright spots during the Pandemic. Each teacher really invests in their students and is able to differentiate lessons to meet students where they are and/or where they can be. We were so pleased with our daughter’s first year that we decided to enroll our son for Kindergarten. Both of our children are thriving academically and beaming with Jewish pride. It can be tough to be a Jewish child in the South, but CJDS gives my children a place to be proud to be who they are, grow, make mistakes, but most importantly, teach them to be good human beings who do what is right not what is easy. We are grateful for CJDS and their wonderful team of educators.
