this school is terrible. they cannot afford a field to be put near the school so all we have is a parking lot, with a fence around it. also, i cannot see why some of the staff was hired. you would think if you’re going to a ‘good’ school they would be more careful with who they choose to educate students, but i guess not. also, we are a high school and middle school. we do not have football for high school which i think is very stupid. we also do not have band, health class, cooking class, a proper gym class, sewing class, and many more things. i guess the math and science is good to learn here, but if your parents decide to sign you up and you aren’t interested in math and science, you will probably have a bad time. also, we go to all of our classes with the same people and we only have four periods in a day. in conclusion, this school is a disaster, unless you actually stay for high school, then you get college credits and courses so that is pretty nice, but then again, you can always go to a different school all together and get even more credits.
This is a good school. It’s not perfect by any means. But it’s 100% better than a traditional public school. The pedigree of kids collectively are more advanced, seemingly less worldly, and more academically competitive. It shows in the parents as well. The kids I have observed complain, though as a parent, that’s what teenagers do. School is not a social scene. I would say that I wish the school had more exposure to higher level academic awards, competitions, and programs. The principal and teachers are lack luster in their efforts. This is a tremendous loss of potential exposure to scholarships, advanced testing education, and networking opportunities to elite professionals and community leaders. That to me is the biggest shame. Still would give five stars for a public school. Only a few notches short of a low end private school.
Local area charter school that does very well in both placement exams and science expos. School has a lottery based entry system which unfortunately admits very few new students each year as siblings of current students recieve priority placement.
