I have no idea how this center has such as high review number. My children, ages 1 and 3, were at this center for exactly one month. The first two weeks I thought my children were just having a hard time adjusting, but then I realized it was more. I am going to try not to write a three page thesis on why this place was terrible, but let me give you some highlights:

New teachers all the time, lost my kids items, did not change my son’s diaper unless he pooped (2 times a day) so he stayed in pee-soaked diapers for long periods of time…how do I know the exact number of diaper changes? we use cloth diapers and take home the used diapers… never were there more than 2-4 diapers in there….when there should have been 6-8. My son, who had NEVER in his life had a diaper rash, had a terrible rash (which went away about one week after we got them out of this place… they were unable to get my kids to eat and they would come home STARVING and cranky (even asking them not to give my son fruit with his lunch, or that is all he will eat…. REPEATEDLY ASKED THEM TO DO THIS, but then when i would ask about it later it was like we had never even had the conversation), they do not “push naps”…aka… they do not want to deal with trying to get all the kids to settle down… My 3 year old needs a nap, but of course he will choose not to if you let him… now that he is in good care, he takes naps again. oOh, and if you sneak up on the teachers and watch them threw the window, they are standing in a circle of 3 chatting to each other with NO ATTENTION to the children, some of whom are hitting the others. My kids cried and protested every single time we left them here even though the previously loved their “school,” aka childcare.

bottom line: I FELT TERRIBLE AND GUILTY EVERY TIME I DROPPED MY KIDS OFF AT THIS TERRIBLE PLACE AND SIGHED WITH RELIEF WHEN WE LEFT FOR THE LAST TIME.

My daughter went to Childtime of West 15th from the time she was about 2 months old up until last week (She is 2 now). Ashley, Melanie, Kamry, and the rest of the girls have been so great with her over the last couple of years. Most of the teachers have been there for years. I switched jobs a few months ago but continued to drive 30 minutes to this location as long as I could because of how amazing the staff is. You can tell they really care and they do their best everyday! The place is always clean and I never had to worry about the safety of my kids. I am so sad that we had to switch to a closer daycare and I hope one day we can take our daughter back to this one! My son who is 7 loved going during the summer as well. He has made some really good friends and has really enjoyed the fun summer camp activities. I hope this helps a mom or dad who is looking for a trustworthy place to take their sweet babies.
We have been at this center from infant age to twos, and they have exceeded our family’s expectations. I am confident my daughter is in good hands each day. The teachers truly care about their kiddos and she LOVES going there daily. She’s excited to leave each morning, and beams at pickup ready to tell me all about her day! They are very knowledgeable, attentive, respectful and kind to everyone. These teachers are one of a kind!
