This school is absolutely disgusting. The teachers are absolutely horrible and so are the majority of the students. I suffer from several mental health issues and I have done since I was 14 in year 10. I was in the school ever since it first opened but I ended up leaving the school towards the end of year 10 because of my mental health, but let me tell you, I’m glad I did. The teachers didn’t even care and didn’t help at all and once a lot of the students found out they started making FUN of me spreading rumours that I was “crazy” and just blatantly being horrible about me. Some of the teachers are extremely rude and horrible. I could list hundreds of other things that this school did to make my life more difficult but I can’t fit everything into this review. I actually had one teacher make a rude comment about my body figure once. Another was extremely racist towards white people and felt the need to talk about her views on it everytime she taught a class. She also insulted the way some students would wear religious clothing. There was another teacher who wouldn’t even teach the class and instead would just complain about how much he hated his job and how much he hated this country. It’s an absolutely disgusting school.
If you decide you want your child to go this school you must be brain dead. There are many reasons why this school is unacceptable and why it should be shut down. First I know a student that goes to this school and that student does very good is an amazing student and doesnt get detentions and never told off. How the student described this school is shocking. At first the student told me that they have to line up over 15mins and the teachers dont care and take time of their learning. The worst part is thag the lower students who think they are “bad” and have low grades stand next to the Head Of Year “Mrs Ahmed” and act like they are the assistants but in reality show no respect and mess about while Mrs Ahmed thinks its acceptable. The hoy treats the year 10s like little kids. She treats them like pets giving doughnuts and vouchers. The student that I know said that it feels like in nursery and not in year 10 where they are going to do Gcse next year. The student also said that the only 4 or 5 teachers are really good teachers and the rest dont explain how to do things niether teach properly. There are lots of fights inside the school and outside. Bullying youngers, showing disrespect. Mr Cahill does nothing and doesnt even consider helping. Meanwhile a teacher like Mrs Ahmed is treating the kids like pets. I dont think she understands that the bad kids wont pass their Gcses because they got a doughnut. Inside the school building its a mess especially the toilets and litter is left everywhere. Assistants of Mr Cahill are rude and barley do anything good. The school worries about lineing up good rather than getting good grades. The HOY said if year 10 students get more than 20 detentions then everyone will atentd a saturday detention. However of course the bad kids wont come and the smart kids will come and have a detention for doing nothing wrong. Please take this information in and believe everything I’ve said. DO NOT LET YOUR KID SIGN UP FOR THIS SCHOOL.
Atrocious school. I had to leave because of how bad the school is being ran. I learnt more at home when I got pushed by my maths teacher than I did in any lesson. Some of the teachers are disrespectful and give out detentions like fresh air. The office barely picked up the phone whenever my mum calls up. Many students carry knives to school and the school doesn’t even have metal detectors or searches on people. They might as well have a sign saying equipment is also a knife because they barely act upon knife crime in the environment the school is in. A shop students and adults go is attacked by people from over schools and City heights with fire works around November. The area and school is not safe at all. If you send your children here your ‘very smart ‘
City heights is currently an average school however before the recent new head teacher we had a new set of staff who didn’t have any idea how to run the school. I think it is absolutely disgusting that the government would jeopardise the learning of students at this school by putting such selfish people in charge.Almost all of the teachers who were with the 11’s at the start of year 7 are gone! To make matters worse all of them who left us had the audacity to tell us they will be coming back to look at our results. This behaviour is just disgusting especially since the students are ment to be the childish ones

I have give this 2 stars because the current staff are amazing however we, the year 11’s have been stabbed in the back by previous staff and this will impact our GCSE results.

This school is built for the estate. Its a horrible school so bad they are now installing metal detectors and will be searching students. Knife crime is very high in the area and a majority of the boys are in gangs.
If you want ur son to stay alive and have a health mental wellbeing this is not the place to send your child. The head teacher never knows whats going on unless you email him and even then he is very poor with safeguarding the students he is never available to speak to anyone and you could leave message they will never be returned unless you email and have evidence you contacted you will be given the absolute run around.

the knife crime in the surrounding area and gang problems has flooded into the school and they do not know how to deal with situations sad to say it but it’s literally going to take someone else who wants to be more involved in the loca community and its pupils to turn this shool around
