I graduated from the TEACH program at Clark in 2007. The teachers were mostly excellent, with a few who could have done better, and you could tell that they really cared about their students. Our music and arts program were fantastic, largest orchestra in the state and an award winning band and choir program. Excelling magnet programs that brought students from all over the city. An amazing and caring principal who made sure that we were succeeding in life as well as academics. Students who were always willing to lend a helping hand and were friendly to one and all. I truly miss this school and am glad to see that others are enjoying it as much as I did.
I love this school. I have never felt more at home. My freshman year here had skyrocketed. I am unfortunately not satisfied with the teachers. On the first few weeks of school I was told I have an attitude problem by several teachers. I have always been the teacher’s pet and I do not understand. Then the teacher of my T.E.A.C.H program acts abruptly rude to the students and several parents have gone and seen her for making us fundraising a grade. She constantly curses and makes our class miserable. But all of my other experiences have made this year wonderful. Especially joining the marching band. ??
I had a good experience at Clark.
One thing that sucks is the banker, she’s a Philippino lady and she’s really rude to the students. I remember hating to go pay any fines because she would always ruin my day with her ugly attitude. One time I just went to ask her is I owed anything and she was like ” I don’t know, I just take your money” like it seriously doesn’t take a lot of effort to just type in my student number and check for my fines. Other than that, my years at Clark were great especially Junior and Senior year. Shout out to the coolest teachers, Mr Malcolm and Mrs Thayer!!!
