Do not come here if you are black or of color, you will most definitely not feel welcome by the staff or fellow dancers. Came here as a student and right away did not feel welcomed keep in mind i am a young black woman and the studio is predominantly white. The other dancers were not friendly and continued to make me feel isolated. And in fact, in one experience left me in tears being only 16 at the time. they hole event was very traumatic for me. no staff even thought to come out to check up on me after i stormed out the classroom after being insulted by one of the other dancers. staff there would choose the white students as their favorites putting them always in the front while me and the other student of color in the back. Also, a teacher there made an insensitive comment to the hole class stating “I’m going to kill myself with this participation” which can obvious trigger anyone. And lastly class act had charged my father’s bank account for 700$ after NOT enrolling me in classes.
I have grown up at the studio and learned so many important lessons. The teachers are very professional and practice what they preach: integrity and professionalism. They have made me feel prepared to enter the professional world while keeping a friendly stable environment. It is my second home and I have made the most amazing lifelong friendships while cultivating creativity. Forever grateful to Page, Calen, and everyone else.
I LOVE Class Act! Being in company is so much fun and I love getting to grow and improve everyday while dancing with my favorite people. Would totally recommend.
