Not the best experience. Our older child went through the same school before coastline bought excell and the differences are clear. For starters, after my son completed the online portion of the course we were provided with a paper to take to the BMV to get his learners permit. The date on this paper was wrong. Not just wrong but it was a non existent date. It said he completed the course in the 34th day of the month. The BMV employee gave us what turned out to be bad advice saying get the permit now and we can correct it later with paperwork confirming he completed driver’s Ed.
When it came time for the driving portion of the course, coastline only had times available during school. We had to pull the kid out of school or miss entire days for every driving class. Now that he has completed the course the misdated form from the beginning is a problem. The BMV considers him not old enough to get his license because they couldn’t put his driver’s Ed course information into their system in the beginning. We are going to go and plead our case with them again tomorrow. This could all be avoided if my son could take his driving test through coastline, which is a service they offer. But, we have spent the better part of this last week waiting for them to get back to us on a time and date.

Great experience for a new teen driver. My daughter did the online and behind the wheel course. Eric S. was a phenomenal instructor for a slightly nervous new driver. She had about 25 hours under her belt when she started her behind the wheel portion, so it was very beneficial in smoothing out some things she needed additional help with. Not to mention the parallel parking aspect that I definitely did not want to teach her!

I appreciated the emailed wrap-up of each lesson so I knew what they had worked on and what she needed to be focusing on moving forward.

We will return in a few months so she can take her driving test. I feel confident that the online portion in conjunction with the behind the wheel instruction has done a tremendous amount for her confidence and ability as a new driver. I highly recommend Eric S. and Coastline.

Additionally, it was very easy to sign up online for both the course and the driving instruction. The company had a great response time when contacted for any information.

I 109% recommend learning to dive thru them bill especially has been a very helpful and very thorough teacher when it comes to behind the wheel you learn new things and acronyms for things such as parking, merging, turns, and plenty more.
