I just got a silk press and my mom literally had to tell the owner that my roots were not straight and the owner was very lazy and tried to dismiss my mom and act like it was straight and my mom was like “you don’t feel the crinckly roots?” and then she proceeded to restraighten it & then on top of that the owner taught a student how to do my edges and they left my edges white first of all second of all i got my sideburn swooped and the rest of it straight and it had product in it & was so crunchy. And they let me walk out looking like that. (i went back inside after talking to my mom to get everything fixed) They fixed my hair but my swoop on my actual edges (not sideburn) is literally way too big and there should’ve been more straight hair on the side not hard swooped hair… all in all just don’t go here for silk presses the people get lazy and will let you leave looking a mess.
I had a very good experience overall. I went in and was assigned a very good barber named George. He did an excellent job so I have invited others to go get an excellent cut from him before he graduates. I got my hair cut by him for my wedding he did such a good job I had a couple other brothers in the wedding go to him as well. I usually cut my own hair but for $10 to get a cut better than some shops I have tried I definitely would give them a try. Hopefully your experience will be as good as mine.
