This school is incredibly disorganized, is constantly losing staff, and is generally a mess. Every event is last minute, even registration, which I have been informed of just a day or two ahead of time every year we have gone. They have a young lady in the front office who is INCREDIBLY rude all the time for no reason, snapping at people, being reluctant to help, and giving dirty looks. In addition to this they have a girl named Arianna in the Fit Fun program who was acting very inappropriately towards my husband on multiple occasions and the school and Fit Fun refused to do anything about it. If it had been a male behaving this way it would be considered sexual harassment and he would’ve been fired, but this girl barely got a talking to and continued her behavior after being reprimanded. It made us so uncomfortable that we had to switch schools, and our children are high achieving and well behaved. There are a ton of mean kids here and bullying runs rampant which is also barely dealt with. Along with all of this, everything costs money. All of their events. Even field day the kids had to pay for their snacks! Terrible school. Almost all of their major staff, even the principal, is being replaced this year, so I cringe to think how much worse it will get this year. Don’t bring your kids here!

My son and I really like this school. The entire staff has been extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Ms. Carmen is amazing. The secretaries are extremely thorough and do their jobs well. Most of the staff have children there, so it is a school family. They look out for all the kids. The kids are structured and know what’s expected of them. Great job Colfax elementary!
