I had given this school five stars and at the time it deserved it. Now all the teachers think they are better than everyone else because they teach here. They do not communicate if you child is having problems and when you reach out they tell you it is your childs fault and you should have payed more attention. Every year I hear it is not there responsibility to make sure your child passes or notify you if we have an issue you should just figure it out yourself. When you reach out they make you feel like you are stupid and worthless. Not much educating going on anymore just blame and shame.
Teachers/principals/ are just not that great. I guess this is the best we get here in Odessa! You would think that as a teacher you would behave like one for these kids to look up to and this is just not the case! My kids have no other choice but to be respectful and try their best regardless, this is just sad that this is the best weve got. Grateful for the 2-3 teachers that really do set the example for my kids! I also feel like any kid is accepted here, regardless of their history elsewhere.
I have been at this school since kindergarten and i have many years that have been over the top hard for me and altho some teachers seemed to care there were still teachers that didnt do anything about it, we are still all kids but the way some of these students act is awful, and even tho all the staff say no bullying tolerance they still dont do anything about the fights or verbal bullying, and for the sports and fine arts there is not a lot of options but great coaches in my opinion.
