Omogosh wow. I don’t think I have been so insulted in my entire life..no joke. I am a self employed single mom who has her own place, car …etc. During the intake I was asked VERY personal questions such as “if my child had a bed” or ” if she had a mattress.” Not to mention I was told that it wouldn’t be a good idea to home school my daughter due to me being a single mom…because most families have ” a stay at home mom and husband.” No joke. So what if I had a stay at home dad, or was gay? I will be getting a hold of a supervisor:(
I love Core Butte Charter. My PLT is awesome, works good with my rambunctious & wacky kids. He is very flexible with my schedule & understands that we come over from another town to see him. Core Butte Charter is an excellent way to start out homeschooling. With homeschooling though, you do have to be proactive & sometimes independent, so if you’re not looking to take some initiative, then this probably isn’t going to work. For me Core allows me to have the amount of independence that I like with just the right support behind me.
