We move a lot due to my husbands job and we normally homeschool but we wanted to try public school here in Corsicana. Right from the start our experience hasn’t been great. I tried to register my daughter for Corsicana High School, the lady couldn’t tell me any classes offered and I was suppose to hear from a counselor that afternoon or the next day to sign her up for classes, 6 days later the day school actually started I got a call from her. By this time my daughter just decided if it’s going to be like that she rather just stay in her online school. Then my son started at the middle school, he enjoys it but the very first day the bus left him at school because the guy assisting the loading wouldn’t let him see if his brother was on the bus thankfully I was home and could go pick him up quickly. My other son goes to collins intermediate the first day he had to go to the office to get his schedule because they put him in the wrong grade and was suppose to correct it the first day of school but again was in the wrong grade and had to get it corrected again which caused him to miss breakfast, he doesn’t like it there so far. The Navarro elementary is the only school so far that acts like they truly care about your children. So far my daughter and I are happy with how things are running there and they keep us up to date daily. The principal is awesome at keeping parents informed with things at the school. I’ve never had these issues with other districts where I didn’t feel very safe sending my child because I’m not sure if they are going to get home or if they even know where they are suppose to be during the day. Only school I feel safe sending them in this district is the Navarro Elem.
This is the worst district in the history of districts
