My son is a student here.. During his pre k my son broke his nose.. His teacher assistant told me that he fell flat on his face when he was walking into the library and then I checked with the principal Mrs. Braisher and she read me the incident report and it said that “he was running” a total different story so I checked back with the teacher assistant and she apologize to me for telling me that he was walking and not running and until this day I don’t believe whatever story she made up.. My son now has a broken nose I took him to OU children’s hospital and got an appointment with a ENT and they set up a Surgery appointment but you can still see that his nose is broken.. I told the principles I need videos of the incident but apparently the school don’t have security cameras inside the school.. so just so you all know, if something happens to your child(ren) you won’t be able to see what happened to them.. I hope this helps. His going back next year for kindergarten due to living in the district.
My daughter has gone to this school since pre-k due to living in the district. The school has allowed her off the bus by herself causing her to be lost for an hour when she was in the 1st grade. Now she’s in the third and the don’t send note home to make parents aware of any special days out of school nor notices that the bus schedule has changed due to their lack of keeping fully staffed bus driver’s. There’s no reason as to why this school is slow beginning to fall off but I truly wish they could get it together. Also, be aware that the school has a must show I.D. in order to even check on your child but, yet they know you and your kid and can get very rude when you show your concern for your child. I was told last year I couldn’t go to my child’s class to speak in person with her teacher then was followed as if I were a criminal. Get it together western heights district we all know you don’t deserve 4. Any stars….
