I attended this school from 2004-2007. I dont know how they avoided the news from that period. We had three bomb scares where the SWAT team was called and we all waited outside for hours once in the rain. Another time in October we had an anthrax scare in the girls bathroom.
Kids would sell and trade weed during recess, gangs would start recruiting and kids I went to school with are now dead or in jail.
Keep your kids away from this school or prepare them for the reality of gang violence, drugs, knives brought into school, and SWAT visits. It stays with you for years after attending.
I’m a sixth-grader at CMS, and I absolutely LOVE this school. My teachers are very intelligent and kind, and what’s taught to me is sure to be used in later life. My favorite teacher has been teaching for a while, her name is Mrs. Komjathy, and my least favorite is Mrs. Santosusso. It may be filled with drama and I can’t stand the graffiti in the girls’ bathroom, but otherwise, it’s a nice school to go to. If you need a New Jersey middle school to transfer to, you can be sure to count on Crockett.
I am a 6th grader in Crockett Middle School. I am in B-House. The criteria taught to myself and classmates from the teachers are outstanding. Although, there is a ton of drama throughout 6-8th grade, the students for the most part are very….bold in a good and bad way. Some teachers are annoying such as Ms. Landolfi who teaches in B2 for math. She’s my math teacher for 8-9th period. Also my homeroom teacher. If you ever have her….Just remember you’re not alone!
