This school is horrendous . I have struggled with mental health and newsflash they made it worse . Run as fast as you can . Selena Gomez wasn’t lying when she said she was glad she dodged a bullet dodge this one . Run away as fast as people run don’t walk . I’m not joking on Jesus Christ himself these people gaslight you overwork you and the whole school makes rumors . They will destroy your children im begging you not to send your kids here im not being dramatic only one year in and everyone’s transferring no joke . If you got chosen congrats leave please . Even the social worker doesn’t do their job they instead cause you more stress and in return ruin your mental health . No one’s there for you a lot of students are racist and the workload time we get out and stress doesn’t go well . They tell you their preparing you for the real world but instead are preparing you to end up in an asylum from the amount of crazy manipulation. Gen z deserves better do not let yourself be talked down by the teachers here or teachers in general im a pretty confident and put together person and they make me feel weak . I have no motivation for school now and basically no one is passing all their classes . The biggest toxic red flag . This school will burn you out faster then people’s dad ran to go get milk and faster then my father got remarried . . It’s insane , disgusting and they have “mood meters “ yet they don’t care I cried one day after they shut me up in a wellness council explaining what’s wrong they lie to parents and it will crush you .
My experience at this school was horrendous I struggled beyond limits and the teachers and staff do not support u as they make it seem like they do the principal always puts out an example of how there such an amazing school but behind the closed doors being in this school is a terrible experience I’m in my freshman year ready to leave because of the amount of stress I was put under and they drained me mentally and there are no student centered activities at all everything is focused on academics and there are to strict with certain things because personally I struggled with classes a lot because I wasn’t understanding anything because they make it so difficult the teachers can tell ur parents ofc we will help ur kid but then when we try to get help they deny it to us everyone has there own experience but if I was to give a recommendation I would say to not send your kid here it was a horrible experience for me Js from the first year . -Lara Lockhart
The only public school, after SI tech, on Staten Island that I feel comfortable for my sister to go to. The principal is tough, because he has to be. It’s no easy task to guide a school of teenagers. She is the 3rd of our siblings to attend and we couldn’t be happier. She is more motivated than ever to succeed.
