I graduated this year, Class of 2016. I spent my middle school life at this school. And I honestly dont recommend this school, when I went we never had uniforms, our principals had switched and everything went sour. The teachers were sort of a help, I had to relearn everything in highschool because Long did not overview the material as much. The counselors did not help me with anything, I didnt talk to them the entire 3 years I was there, and the assistant principals were okay, they followed the rules and regulations but would occasionally punish those who did not do no harm. I was bullied all 3 years, and I seemed helpless and nothing changed, in fact there was always fights around the school every day, as well as a drug chain circulating, my grades suffered due to low educational value. If you are a parent who is deciding on schools, please…. Hear and listen to what I have to say and don’t take your child here. I’d rather they go to Polk MS. Everyone who graduated in my class who were from Polk graduated with either honors or were recognized by the state. I’d rather your child have a high education then suffer with grades, mental health and time loss with no helpful classes

I am currently a student at Dan F. Long the school is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!Yes we have to wear uniforms but that’s ok (uniforms drive me crazy I’ve never worn a uniform) and to all the haters THIS SCHOOL IS FREAKING AWESOME so if you don’t have anything nice to say SHUT YOUR MOUTH because I don’t need ANYONE to ruin my year’s at this school THIS IS THE CLASS OF 2015
