Whew where do I start ….I wanted my son to come here as well as museum and DATE….DATE was my first choice ! dekalb chose my child first (I’m sure bc not a lot of parents chose this school) anywho long story short when DATE finally accepted my child they sent me info on orientation uniforms open house etc …I haven’t heard from prep AT ALL so of course I forgot all about this school. Two days before school starts I get an email saying I need to withdraw my child from prep so that he can go to DATE .fine I called prep they said the process will take 72 hours which means my child will not be able to attend the first day or maybe even the second day of school. Me being a first time mom now my anxiety is up I called DATE they said the process does not take 72 hours all I need to do is go to the school and it will take 5 min. Now I’m here at prep they asks me did I fill out the paper work ( bc they told me that I was suppose to do that ??) and they said they don’t do that ????????? I would have to wait the 72 hours. I’m not giving in…so now that I’m going back and forth with this lady who clearly is not having a good day she says she can do it for me this one time ???? but for future ref ( which I’m not sure why she said for future bc I will NOT b coming to this school ever again or recommend anyone here they have no communication AT ALL) another parent came in here and asked when was parent teacher meet bc no one communicated with her ??. Here I am 5 min later and my paper work is done just like DATE said ??. Thank you very much prep but NO THANK U !
I am putting this online as a lesson learned to the school. This school is designed for regular ed students, if your child has special needa this not the school for your child. I have had several problems with the most sorry attitude having social worker ever Mrs Sade Wise and the school had lack of caring about my child special needs. I want to thank Mrs Pitts for her concern and help but im more disappointed in the that fact she lets her Social Worker treat parents horribly. Im done with the school and even after my child leaves here i will not enroll another one of my children ever again.
I have two say this school is a big disapointment.. the staff is unorganized, rude and no pun intended classless. U would think they would want you to feel comfortable with leaving your children with them and I personally don’t. Ohhhhh and the pick up “process” is by far the most ignorant. I’m going to call the b.o.e to see if what there doing is even legal. It’s too many adults in that building for them not to come up with a better solution then pissing off there parents! My child will be out as soon as I can get him into somewhere else
