I AM A STUDENT AT DEL WEBB AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE. The only reason I’m sill in this school is for band. I’ve been going since 6th grade and I am now a month away from getting out of this horrible school. The music program is great with the band director, however, there is a serious problem with the system. The deans and counselors harass the students and are completely bogus. There is no freedom for your child. If your child gets picked on, the deans will do nothing. But what they will do is create drama and tension to make your child’s middle school experience a living hell. I have been falsely accused of bringing drugs on campus, cutting, and attempting suicide. The worst thing about it is they didn’t even have any repercussions for the peers who reported these false actions. To add onto that, the school has a rule that the reporter will not be named. Meaning, the person who reported your child won’t be mentioned and the school will do nothing about it. This makes it possible for one person to report your child as many times as they choose to without getting in any sort of trouble. As a result, your child will be pulled out of class and into the dean’s or counselor’s office and will miss hours of instructional period. Get a zone variance to Silvestri. I don’t suggest Miller because I’ve heard from many of my peers that it is worse than Del Webb.
I am currently an 8th grade student attending Del E Webb Middle School. It is an overall great school with outstanding faculty, staff, and students. Our school is always pristine and presentable which is one of the many reasons we are able to compete as one of the top schools in Nevada. The negative reviews written below are clearly people who never paid attention in class (hence the many grammatical errors) or people who do not see school as an opportunity to learn, but rather as a place to socialize. Del Webb has amazing fine arts and the teachers always try their best to provide the best learning environment available. The administrators try to have fun at the school by putting on many entertaining spirit days/assemblies. Last but not least, the demographics of the school and surrounding area are astonishing. This is a school where learning is a top priority to the staff, students, and parents. For those of you students and/or parents who are reading this, I highly recommend attending Del E Webb Middle School.
There is a very distinct reason that Del Webb is consistently ranked in the top 1% of schools in Nevada (& that’s including all the private schools): The administrators, teachers, students and parents want the very best academic, social and learning environment that can be achieved. It seems the staff and teachers don’t just want a great school, they want great kids. As a result, the expectations are very high and the kids work very hard to achieve them. Though the kids may buck a little at the strict adherence to the policies of the district and the school, it truly makes for a much better LEARNING environment. I love that my kids don’t just pass tests or turn in homework but that they actually are learning these subjects. That seems to be lost on many schools these days.

So very impressed with each of our girl’s experiences and learning they have taken (& still are) from the various programs, teachers and life lessons while attending here.
