I give this school a one star because the staff nor teachers give these students what they really need. My younger sister attends to this school and what I’ve been hearing of what all goes on sounds very unprofessional and I do not know how they have not had any complaints before. My sister has been going to this school for about 2 years and has been bullied and shoved in the locker based off not only her religion (Muslim) but based off her learning disorder and disability. Now I am hearing another Student has been name calling my sister, telling her to shut up and that she is stupid and that nobody loves her? And my younger sister has said she spoken to the counselor about it and they had said to ignore it and walk the other way? But the incident is still happening and the teachers, principal and staff has yet to deal with this bullying issue nor do they seem concerned? So I called in and to see if they will deal with this matter in a much better way rather than sweeping it under the rug and if this matter is not issued I will make some phone calls and take this matter in my own hands because I do not tolerate this. I will make sure that not only I will announced all over the schools page about their lack of their job but to the media as well. This is ridiculous and needs to be dealt with and i will make sure of it. It’s sad honestly and i am hoping that the staff makes a better effort for these students. Thank you for your time I hope this review has helped some of those who needed to know what the school is actually like.

So far this school year, my experience with Denton High School is that it is the biggest bureaucracy I have ever seen. I would give it less than one star if that was possible. They make you jump through hoops to get anything accomplished with registration or changing registration. The counseling office says do everything on-line but nothing works on-line and additionally the students have to rely on a homeroom teacher to even gain a log-on ID and password so that they can even meet with a counsellor. We have now waited over 3 weeks trying to get the log-on.
The only positive aspect of this whole mess is that at least it teaches the students that they need to develop the patience of a saint to tolerate this much disorganization and laziness from all the staff in order to get one small thing accomplished.
If there is any way you can live in a different part of Denton to avoid sending your kids to this school then do that.

My younger sister goes to this school and is calling me almost every day crying or angry because some punk kids at school are bullying her and pushing her in to lockers every day! She says the teachers are not helpful and she gets picked on and I know some of it is because she is different. She is Muslim and she has learning disability. I will be making a call tomorrow or meet up with The principal about this if I have to and see where it goes because I will not tolerate this. So far i give it a 1 star because this is unexceptable. If she is getting pushed around and picked on every day then where are the teachers and authorities ? I will have to see where it goes because I am beyond upset about this. She seems to never have a good day at school nor can focus on her work because she is so worried and focused on how every one is treating her and that is not fair.
