Ignore the people ranting about how bad things are here. The policies are VERY clear about discipline and behaviour so if you don’t want your child to be spoken to when they have done something outside the rules don’t send them! Yes there are some issues (we have 1 child still there and 1 who finished recently) but they are being addressed. They give children an outstanding education and a real head start in life. Ofsted inspections prove this, don’t let the reviews here bias your opinion.
Excellent and all but the behaviour policy is really messed up. You’ll have to stay after school for half an hour for stupid things like not putting your name on your homework or if your pen runs out and you don’t have a spare. Nobody dares to mess around because if you get caught you’ll get isolation.Another thing is the school days are to long (probably 2.5 hours longer than normal schools). This school will be better if break and lunch was longer.
Send your child to any of the Dixons bradded schools, risk losing your childs individuality and creativity. The school wants robots who are good at tests but no superior thinking or thinking allowed. You have to conform to box thinking, do this do that but if your over eager you will be punished. its all about saving the Brand name which is sad. Students are not allowed to go toilets in class time. fear is how they rule the children. Enjoy.
This school has been the best thing to happen to my son. He had a really hard time in primary school, hes only been in dixions since september and hes already gone up in sets, from a child who hated school to a child that now loves school, yes its strict, yes its long hours, yes it takes abit of getting use to, BUT its well worth the hard work, they truly want the children to succeed and they will do everything they can to get your child where they want to be….FANTASTIC SCHOOl doing an amazing job..
Yes, a very disciplined school which demonstates hard work and commitment. My daughter received brilliant GCSE’S results today and I believe this is due to the exellent teaching skills and support received from this school.
Well done,, not forgetting the hard work by my daughter. Thank you Dixons McMillan.
